Had my first lag-free games of King of fighters XIII online yesterday. Got beat repeatedly, but it was close! Had a lot of fun going Duo Lon, he’s more interesting to play as than I realised. How I wish it had better online, really. Even playing my pal who lives 15 minutes away has lag. Grrrngh.

Giving Skyrim back after borrowing it from a pal as it’s too much fun, it’s a timesink, it’s invading my dreams and there’re too many sidequests, which fucking sucks for my OCD, more than just leaving it unfinished does. And I never did get a proper handle on the combat. Plus, I’ve got the Prepare to Die edition of Dark Souls on the way. Hurrah!

Borrowed Skyrim off of a pal. I gather the aim of the game is to accidentally murder all the NPCs, right? Anyway, first impressions were “YAAAWN joyless fantasy dullsville!” but now I am getting into it I can imagine it stealing my entire life away. It’s no Dark Souls, though.

Not sure if I’m imagining it, but there are so many instances while playing Street Fighter 4 where it’s felt like the opponent’s had too much opportunity to block a super move upon activation, whereas in Third Strike it would have got them. Oh, the modern world!
